What This Site Is About

ProProMapro started from a straightforward observation: a large and growing number of people in the Czech Republic now work from home, at least part of the time, yet most do so in spaces that were never designed for it. The result is discomfort, distraction, and a working day that is harder than it needs to be.

This site covers the practical side of home office setup: how to arrange your workspace, what equipment actually makes a difference, and how to work more comfortably without necessarily spending a lot of money. The focus is on advice that is specific to the Czech context — what is available locally, what Czech apartments and houses typically look like, and what the relevant regulations say about remote work.

Our guides draw on published ergonomics research, European occupational health guidelines from EU-OSHA, and data from the Czech Statistical Office. We do not accept payment for recommendations, and external links point only to sources we consider genuinely useful.

Our Approach

Evidence-Based

We reference published research and official guidelines rather than marketing claims. Where evidence is limited or mixed, we say so rather than overstating what is known.

Practical First

Every guide aims to give you something actionable. We focus on changes that are achievable without a large budget or a complete room redesign.

Czech Context

Advice that works in a large American house does not always translate to a Czech apartment. We try to give recommendations that are realistic for the spaces and budgets most Czech remote workers actually have.

No Sponsorship

We do not accept sponsored content or affiliate arrangements. Product mentions reflect our genuine assessment of what is available and useful, not commercial relationships.

Topics We Cover

Our current guides focus on three core areas of home office setup:

  • Ergonomics — chair setup, monitor height, keyboard placement, and posture
  • Lighting — natural light positioning, desk lamp selection, and reducing eye strain
  • Standing desks — what the research says, types available, and where to buy in the Czech Republic

We plan to expand into workspace organisation, noise management, and the legal and tax aspects of working from home in the Czech Republic.
